A Chuggington Halloween

Matteo is still a little young to have much of a say in his Halloween costume.  Since the only show he watches is a cute little cartoon called "Chuggington," (and he LOVES it), Fabio and decided that Matteo would love to be one of the little trains from that show.  Well, Matteo wasn't so sure about that idea.  He was pretty unsure of the "blue marshmallow" at first.  And by pretty "unsure," I mean that he protested mightily every time we tried putting it on him.  However, after he went to pre-school on Halloween morning and saw the other kids dressed up in costumes, he warmed up to the idea of wearing such a ridiculous outfit, and apparently wore it most of the morning.

That evening, when we put it on again to go trick-or-treating, he had adjusted .  He even let us put the hat on him.  By the time he started figuring out the free candy thing, he was a fan of Halloween.

The neighborhood we live in has a Halloween fair for the little ones.  Store owners pass out candy in front of their stores.  Swarms of people doesn't even begin to describe the scene.

All in all, a good time was had by all.  It was the first year Matteo kind of understood what was going on.  He still can't say, "Trick-or-treat" but he did a great job of saying, "Choo-choo!"
