That evening, when we put it on again to go trick-or-treating, he had adjusted . He even let us put the hat on him. By the time he started figuring out the free candy thing, he was a fan of Halloween.
Photo-op in front of the grocery store. He entered the costume contest and we found buckets of free candy hidden throughout the store.
The neighborhood we live in has a Halloween fair for the little ones. Store owners pass out candy in front of their stores. Swarms of people doesn't even begin to describe the scene.
All in all, a good time was had by all. It was the first year Matteo kind of understood what was going on. He still can't say, "Trick-or-treat" but he did a great job of saying, "Choo-choo!"

It's nice they can get the trick or treat experience and not go door to door in the dark. Cute costume.
