Tulips!

We caught the tail end of the tulip season in Skagit County today.  Around the month of April, Skagit Valley fields are blooming with daffodils, tulips and irisis.  There were only a few fields left in bloom, and almost all of them were tulips (my favorite).  It has inspired us to visit Holland in the spring (we've both been, but never during tulip season) and see Keukenhof.

Skagit Valley is just a mere 90 minutes north of Seattle and is so stunning.  Even though the field and gardens were overrun with tourists, it was such a lovely day.  The weather was perfect and Matteo loved running through the mud puddles and pointing to the flowers.  Yet another reason to fall in love with Western Washington!
